Last updated: 14 July 2026. Typing Castle is a browser typing game. This page explains what we collect and why. It is written so kids and parents can read it, and it is not a substitute for legal advice. ## The free game When you play for free, we save only two things: **the handle you choose** for the leaderboard (please do not use your real name) and **your score**. To keep the leaderboard fair, your keystrokes are sent to our server so it can replay your game and confirm the score is real. They are used for that one check and then discarded. They are never stored. We do not collect your name, email, address, phone, birthday, or location. We set no cookies, use no advertising IDs, and run no third-party trackers on the game. There is no account and no sign-up to play. ## Our website pages The informational pages (home, FAQ, comparisons, and this page) use **Fathom Analytics**, a privacy-first tool, so we can see roughly how many people visit. It sets no cookies, does not track you across other sites, honors "Do Not Track," and stores no personal information about you. The game itself uses none of this. ## Children (COPPA) The free game is built so there is nothing personal to collect from a child, which means there is nothing to consent to. We only save a child's typing information **after a parent creates and pays for the Family plan**. That subscription is how a verifiable adult gives consent. The information we then keep (typing speed, accuracy, and which keys are missed) is used only to give that family its progress dashboard and coach. We never sell it, never share it, and never use it for advertising. ## Keeping and deleting data - A parent can delete a child's saved data at any time from the dashboard. - We keep data only as long as we need it to provide the feature it is for. ## Changes and contact If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top.
